Employers based outside the UK

Currently programmes are available for those based in the UK.  However, the education and professional engineering institutions involved in delivering these programmes are interested in the development of programmes for those based outside the UK.

Employers based outside the UK who are interested in workbased progammes leading to professional qualification for their employees are encouraged to contact one of the education providers directly or to contact the Engineering Council to discuss possibilities.

Note that the language of instruction would have to be English, and UK higher education quality assurance arrangements in relation to overseas collaboration would have to be satisfied.   There will be specific requirements to cover features of the programme such as mentoring and assessment arrangements.

Employees holding initial engineering academic qualifications that are non-accredited may need to undergo an assessment of their qualifications by the relevant professional engineering institution.
